Hey everyone in blogging land. It’s been awhile since I’ve posted something on this site. I’ve been studying for the Pennsylvania Property & Casualty exam, which I take in Philly this Tuesday. It’s been a long journey but I think I did enough preperation to pass this thing on the first time.
When I pass this exam, any agency in the Delaware County Pennsylvania area that needs an Account Executive in-house to sell polocies over the phone or to renew existing policies please contact me. Wwll another March Madness Selection Show has come and gone & right on cue is another big time snub by the selection committee. The Drexel Dragons, who won 25 of their final 27 games, beat Cleveland St. & Old Dominion on the road & lost by 3 to their Colonial Athletic Association rival VCU has been snubbed out of the tournament. In their place, the Iona Gales who had a horrible conference record but went 14-6 non-conference.

I know Iona has some good players but come on committee. You take a team who had a horrible conference record over a team that won 25 of their final 27 games? If VCU lost in the conference title game would they’ve been snubbed out of the tournament? I don’t think so. It’s just ashame for the coaching staff & the kids who worked so hard this year only to come up short of their dream of playing in the field of 68. Well, you know what you have to do Drexel don’t you? Win the NIT tournament to show the selection committee that they made a big mistake of not selecting you into this year’s tournament. You might win the coveted, “Not Invited Touranment” trophy but at least you’ll get some experience from a tournament that wants you there.

RE: Anthony Gueriera-Letter of Recommendation

This letter concerns Anthony Gueriera who I directly supervised while a Team Manager at Liberty Mutual Insurance Co from 9/2003 to 4/2006.

Anthony handled approx 1,000 medical only and permanent disability files in my unit. His duties included investigation, URO’s (utilization review) and subrogation. He was also responsible for setting up activity checks and surveillance on the permanent disability files. Anthony also helped in the SDU (Short Duration Unit) and handled low exposure lost time claims for the unit during times of increased staffing issues.

I found Anthony to be a diligent, well organized and technically proficient employee. Anthony was directly responsible for making his unit one of the best in the entire middle market claims organization, obtaining the best closed file review scores over a 2 year period.

Anthony would be a true asset to any WC claims organization. His years of experience, technical proficiency and dedication are hard to come by in today’s job market.
